Here's an article entitled "Sensei finds harmony in aikido" which highlights Louis Jumonville's dojo in Martinez, CA.
From the article: "There is no winning or losing in aikido. There are no egos, and it's a way to practice in a non-competitive environment. Many times in competitive sports, only the most athletic kids get to feel successful," not so in aikido, said Jumonville. "It also teaches skills like leadership, focus and concentration – lifelong skills not normally taught in our education system."
