Deepest sympathies to the students and relatives of Arthur Blick, who died peacefully following a brief illness, yesterday.

Arthur was the instructor of the Bradford Aikido Club in Yorkshire, and was a very well known and respected teacher and Aikidoka.

Arthur graded to Yondan at the BAF summer school 20001, age 78, insisting that he should take a grading test even though Kanetsuka Sensei had wanted to award the grade by recommendation to Hombu dojo. His performance in that grading will not be forgotten by those who saw it for a long time! Here is an an article (http://www.thisisbradford.co.uk/bradford__district/archive/2001/08/18/brad_news03.int.html ) from the local newspaper covering this event.

Arthur was an shining example of everything that an Aikidoka should be and he will be sorely missed.

I lost my teacher almost 3 years ago to Cancer, and he always said he was going to be with friends.

I know your Sensei is with friends!

My deepest Sympathy.
