"These stories of being thrown by O'Sensei, all of a mold, make sense. It was certainly an experience like none other, being thrown by one of the great martial artists of modern times, an event worthy of remembering and relating. Like being knocked out by Mohammad Ali, it's a hell of a good yarn, even if you were his sparring partner and it happened more regularly than you would wish."

And then it happened to me.

I have to say that the best thing to ever motivate my training was being thrown by my sensei. To come away afterwards, and for days be amazed at the experience, is something else. I've very rarely had anyone or anything amaze me that way. Even more so fantastic is when I've been able to capture a bit of that, and immediately afterwards pass at least some of it to my training partner. Thanks for sharing your experience of it.
