Please join us for our second annual fundraiser to support the ongoing activities of Brooklyn Aikikai! The event is being held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Arlo & Esme (42 1st St, Between 1st and 2nd Ave, New York City) Tickets are $30 per person and include 2 drinks. There will be great food, live music, a silent auction and raffle drawings. At last year’s gala, we celebrated Brooklyn Aikikai receiving official nonprofit status. This year we are looking to raise funds to supplement monthly member dues, which do not fully cover the dojo’s operations and activities. Further, Brooklyn Aikikai has initiated some programs for the public, and has more goals for outreach programs in accordance with its mission, but these programs are currently unfunded.
