So how do I include icons in the body of the message? Is there documentation somewhere on using vB code so I can do fun stuff like that?

Yup. Right underneath the textarea box for your reply, there should be two links -- one for smilies (http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/index.php?action=showsmilies) and the other for vB code (http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/index.php?action=bbcode).

Is it somehow possible to err, create an icon->send it to you->vote for including in icon list->...->...?

You're welcome to send me icons and such, but there's no guarantee it'll be put onto the site. Although I do like democracy and all, I prefer a consistent look-and-feel to my site...

If the image tag is enabled on UBB, you can import smiles from anywhere. I have some very silly friends that gave me this link.
