Hi All
My name is Dan and I have just moved to Osaka, Japan.
I am on the look out for an Aikido school to join.
The problem is I work 5-9pm which means I need some where to train during the day
Does anyone know of a place in Osaka.
Any help would be greatfully accepted.

Hi Dan

I can thoroughly recommend practising at the Seibukan dojo in Kobe. There are excellent classes in the morning (7-8), although this may be a little early for a journey from Osaka. The dojo is very close to the Hankyu Hanakuma station, which can be reached from Umeda in around 35 minutes. The Saturday and Sunday classes begin a little later, around 10.00 as I remember. You can vistit their English language website at: www.geocities.jp/estella_dean/seibukan/index.html where a full schedule is available.
I also think that there is a dojo in Takarazuka, but I'm not sure about that...something to check may be.
Hope you find something.
All the best
Ross

You can go to the Seibukan dojo in Kobe, right by Okurayama eki on the chikatetsu. Or close to Kobe JR eki as you are coming from Osaka.

Nakao sensei runs a morning keiko at 7:00 during the week, and from 9:00 at weekends. Well worth the early morning rise. Their homepage is here with details of schedules and a map

I'll be there in 3 weeks time on my annual pilgrimage for 3 weeks. Despite being on holiday, I'll be getting up at 5:30 each morning to make the trek from my inlaws to train with Nakao sensei :-).
