I am going to be in Sao Paulo, Brazil from December 22, 2006 through January 1, 2007. I would like to find a dojo there that I can work out in once or twice. I have studied Tomiki Aikido and AWA Aikido.

Does any one on here know of a Dojo in or near Sao Paulo that accepts guests participants, is open during that time and speaks some english?

I can be reached at justme123@hush.com.

Thank you...

*weeps at the thought of someone going to Sao Paulo and looking for something other than BJJ* - much like someone going to iwama and looking for a good tkd school ;-)

Quoted for truth. I can't imagine being in Sao Paulo and doing anything but BJJ. I'd want to swing by BTT while I was there to watch as well.

I'm afraid you both have me at a disadvantage. What is BJJ and BTT.

Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. Sao Paulo is famous for its BJJ schools. Some of the best practioners in the world are there. Like Michael said, it would be like going to Tokyo, and then looking for a fencing school.

BTT=Brazillian Top Team, one of the premier MMA (mixed martial arts) gyms in the world. They have 3 gyms in Sao Paulo.

Sao Paulo also boasts some of the best Aikidoists in the world so as an Aikidoist, it's a great place to train.

Here are two suggestions. These men just put on the second largest Aikido seminar ever held in the world with over 2000 participants. They don't take second place to anyone when it comes to Aikido.
