This man of Japanese ancestry, left his home in Canada to study with Morihei Ueshiba. He was unique in that he could both speak Japanese and had the privledges of a foreigner who was allowed to ask Osensei direct questions. Although he has not tested since his shodan, his direct exchanges with Osensei make him a highly valuable resource to aikido.
