As I have had the pleasure of training with Neil arguably I’m a bit biased. However I feel that this is an excellent book.

I’m fairly new to aikido. I not very good at it and I need something that is easy to understand and follow.

The Tomiki Way is a Tomiki aikido training manual that documents the whole of the Tomiki system and addresses all the techniques in the Koryu and Randori-no-kata

The thing that makes it so good is the way the photographs are used to describe the techniques. The photo’s brake down every technique into bite sized chunks that are easy to swallow.

It is a must for all tomiki practitioners.

As a practictioner of Traditional Ueshiba style Aikido I was pleasantly surprised when I trained with some of Neil's Colleagues in Las Vegas May 2002. I understand that as a group they travel around the world training with masters of all styles of Aikido in an effort to broaden their knowledge.

This Ideal is clearly evident in this book - Although It is obviously written for Tomiki students any Aikidoka will greatly benefit from the photos explaining techniques - it's all covered: ikkyo, nikkyo, sankyo, yonkyo, projections, pins etc!

I would recommend this book to all of us interested in Aikido.

After reading the reviews, I decided that I should buy the book from www.tomikiway.com. It was delivered over xmas and I must say that I totally agree with the reviews.

The book is excellent!! I think it will be a very useful training aid throughout my Aikido life as it contains everything. The detail is superb and is clearly laid out, which even allows myself to follow the techniques.

I believe the book is very good value, and in comparison to other books on Tomiki/Shodokan Aikido stands heads and shoulders above them.
