Description: Last time I went to Kyoto I visited Tozando's again, and I bought their new waffle pattern Aikido gi. It has quickly become my favourite. It is very light, and comparede to the price I think it has a nice fit for a guy like me (not the washboard abdomen type). I had them sew a set of laces on so that I can tie it together which I am really happy about, and they embroided my name on the bottom end of the sleeve. Dosen't show during practice since it's under the hakama, but great for finding you gi in the piles during a seminar The gi is not for heavy judo like training with tugging at the sleeves or pulling the fabric but apart from that it seems fairly strong and flexible. I really like the pattern which is a little different, and I also enjoy that this gi is a little stiff so that it allows air around my body but not so stiff that it is difficult to tie. I also enjoy that it is light for summer practice and travels easy, but it is more comfortable than using a karate gi. It is not a very fancy gi, but again compared to the price - I think it is a great piece of garment for everday practice...
I would recommend it for most aikido practicioners.
