These deluxe Aikido Gi are the epitome of quality, the best Aikido Gi we have ever seen in our many tears of trading. They have been specially made to better suit the purposes of the Aikido practitioner, as the best alternative to Judo style suits which are not really ideal for this art. All Gi supplied complete with white belt.
Special Features on the AG-3 Deluxe Aikido Gi:

Extra Soft Material - This Deluxe 750g Sashiko Ori fabric has undergone a special softening process in addition to having a brushed cotton interior, greaty increasing the comfort.

Short Sleeves - All traditional Japanese clothing has a ¾ length sleeves. For unarmed arts this is particularly practical as there are many grabs to the wrists and suchlike which can be impeded by the longer Judo style sleeve.

Minimised Reinforcement - Due to the nature of Aikido it is not necessary to heavily reinforce the lapels of the Gi. Reinforcement therefore serves no purpose for an Aikido Gi other than to stiffen the suit considerably and make it more uncomfortable to train in.

Fewer Seams - Bulky seams have been minimised by manufacturing the Gi from two pieces only, front and back. This increases the overall strength of the Gi whilst removing the seam at the top of the shoulder and arm which makes the cut of the Gi better and rolling falls more comfortable.

Double Layer Apron - A common point of failure of Judo Gi is on the apron part. As a result the lower apron section of our new Gi has been made with two layers of soft fabric to eliminate this problem. This softened fabric also makes the Gi especially suitable to be worn with Hakama.

Pros:	durable, strong, comfortable, decent price
Cons:

very comfortable ricegrain cloth and again very good price for the quality.

The main positives for myself are the shorter sleeves and the longer apron so it doesn't ride over the belt. Company itself is a pleasure to deal with.

You will be able to get excellent Aikido gi in the States from Nine Circles USA. They are the franchise of the well know Nine Circles UK.

Pros:	thick, comfortable, reasonable price.
Cons:	It's pretty stiff at first, but softens up.

Mine is the 800g Sashiko Ori rice grain fabric. It is remarkably stout, and I've owned motorcycle jackets which aren't as heavy.

I've washed it four or five times, and it hasn't shrunk much, 'though I haven't subjected it to the dryer.

Mine is the 800 gram version with the Tengu logos.

It seems very well made and isn't quite as stiff as my housemate's Judo gi.

It hasn't shrunk appreciably in three washings (cold water, air dry.)

It seems to be very well made, all hems are nicely bound.

The only down side is that it's HEAVY. I've had padded leather motorcycle jackets that didn't weigh this much!

The bottoms were about the right length, and double layered from above the knees nearly to the hem, but clearly made for someone MUCH larger than I am. I'm not skinny, at 5'11" & 165lb, but I have to gather up about a foot of extra material to keep 'em up. The quality of the construction with all nicely finished seams, makes the proposition of taking them up rather daunting, so I'll put up with it.
