There are moments in my practice when it strikes me that I haven't done a katate dori ikkyo in a long time. When you stand in front of a class you want to be able to know exactly the right form of the basics. It's those moments I'm glad I can read and look at the precise pictures and explenations of Klicksteins book Living Aikido.

I've probably read it 10 times by now and every time there's something new I focus on. Bruce is a master in the basics, so for that reason only the book is a good referense work, but there is more. As a long time student of Saito sensei 9th dan, Bruce understand the connection between weapon and body movements, riai. In the book he uses each technique as a base to explain different principles of Aikido, i.e the riai or connection between uke and nage, and that's what I likes the most. The book is something for all categories to read, from beginners to instructors and I'm glad I own a copy.
