I've always thought of this book as going hand-in-hand with The Spirit of Aikido. While there have been newer technique books with sometimes clearer pictures, I've always thought of this book relecting the view Kisshomaru-doshu laid out in Spirit of Aikido.

This is the first aikido book I've read and it helped a lot with my techniques and my understanding of the philosophy of Aikido. This book rocks!
