Description:
|
The Essential Teachings of Aikido features Hikitsuchi Michio Sensei, 10th Dan, continuing his life-long dedication to the "direct transmission" of the Aikido he learned first-hand from Ueshiba Morihei Osensei, the founder of Aikido.
The Essential Teachings of Aikido is a three-volume videotape series professionally produced with English-language voice-over. Each tape includes exciting demonstrations, point-by-point technical instruction, and spirited discussions of the philosophical foundation of Aikido.
The Essential Teachings of Aikido was shot entirely on location at the Aikido Kumano Juku Dojo in Shingu, Japan and at the spectacular Nachi waterfall nearby, a place Osensei visited for inspiration time and again throughout his life.
Hikitsuchi Sensei teaches how to practice what he calls "instantaneous aiki," grounded in the principles of "never looking, never waiting, never fighting."
