Description: The Aiki Ken DVD tape covers: 7 ken suburi, ki musubi no tachi, 5 kumitachi and henka no tachi. Complete English overdub of Japanese explanations.

In addition, two rare bonus films have been included on this DVD. The first item is a film documentary on Saito Sensei produced in 1974 by Dyanna Taylor on the occasion of his first overseas tour to California. He was 46 years old and in his prime. Saito Sensei made a lasting impression for his technical and teaching skills and was invited back many times.

The second bonus program presents in its entirety the sword demonstration of Saito Sensei from the 1989 All-Japan Aikido Demonstration held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Exciting action!

Pros: Easy to understand language throughout, englisah over dub is excellent.
Cons: it does not show Ken tai Jo techniques.

This DVD presents the Iwama aiki ken weapons system, that was passed down by the founder to M. Saito sensei. It includes the 7 suburi, ki musubi no tachi, and the five kumi tachi plus sword and body variations. It does not however include the ken tai jo (sword vs staff) techniques. Saito sensei power and grace with the ken is seen throught this DVD adn he explains the movements of the ken with simple to use language and precise explanations.
I would deffinately recomend this DVD to anyone interested i learning the founders original teachings of Aiki ken.
