An excellent exploration of the "other half" of ukemi. After a brief review of the falling techniques from Volume I, Waite Sensei discusses Contact, Connection, Relaxation, Sincerity & Safety as components of uke's attack & blend. There are plenty of demonstrations of each concept, clearly filmed. The Safety section shows how, working within this model of ukemi, his soft rolls can be used in situations that would generally elicit a hard fall. Suitable for all levels of practitioners.

Some might consider the discussion \"un-necessary\" but they miss the point as that is the point of the video. This is not a negative, in my opinion, but this can be interpreted as a negative.

A must have companion to the first video. Donovan Waite Sensei explores the principles of ukemi as ukemi is more than just rolling and breakfalling. Donovan Sensei does a great job explaining these principles and then applies them. Also, he demonstrates a soft fall for koshinage where the practicitioner can roll out instead of breakfall. Some might consider the discussion \"un-necessary\" but they miss the point as that is the point of the video. This is not a negative, in my opinion, but this can be interpreted as a negative. I recommend this to people when they are starting to explore the principles of connection, relaxation, and following.
