This is the Classic! The book offers an extraordinary, in-depth, intellectual approach to Aikido that I haven\'t seen elsewhere. It\'s a must-have!!

Well balanced! Good mix of training stuff and philosophy stuff...I\'d say leaning more towards training. Upon completion, I set this book down feeling very good that I read it. Further, it gave me some real good food for thought about training. Excellent book.

I purchased this book when I first started Aikido. The only regret I have is that I didn\'t read it every night since I purchased it. I looked in it yesterday, the day before, the day before that, and just about everyday that I train. This is the book. If you don\'t have it, you mustn\'t be an Aikidoka. Details, details, details. Pictures, pictures, pictures. If you bought it only for one of those, you\'d still be getting a deal at thirty bucks. That\'s not to mention the tips! Whatever your style, you can\'t go wrong with this book.

I affirm everything else that was stated. I\'d like to add, however, that this, as a practitioner of a Yoshinkai style, is a Must-have! Just today, the diagrams and directions gave me a new perspective on my technique...Powerful stuff! I also like, as I flip between this book and \"Total Aikido,\" that you can see the evolution of these techniques. For the basic techniques, I kind of get a better idea of the lessons when I see what they changed. You should own this book.

From the Yoshinkan...of course, it\'s great! If you train in a lineage of Yoshinkai, you should have this book.

I thought this was an excellent book. Although not my style of Aikido, I found several great suggestions that I implemented in my training. The new perspective on my training has lead to several significant discoveries. Further, there were several bits of info, that I thought were extremely informative. I say this is a should-have for your MAs library.
