I received this beautiful weapon (in grade 7 Hickory and with an inscription, no less!) as a gift some years ago and am continually impressed by the level of care that went into its creation - not only is it wonderfully balanced but the hand-cut wood gives working with it a very pleasant feel in my hands; what a difference being hand-cut with quality tools (as opposed to sanded) makes! The only thing I would even remotely describe as a negative about this bokken is that for me personally, I find it a little too light - but then I had spent some years prior practicing with a rather heavy and ill-balanced white oak bokken. Otherwise, this is without a doubt the finest bokken I have ever owned. It has thus far stood up to a few years now of practice (against much heavier weapons) and I foresee a great many more with it in the future!

I\'ve purchased both Weapons Cases A & B for my husband and I (and after owning a cheap vinyl case from e-bogu in the past that ripped after just a week), am more than impressed. I have no doubt that they would stand up to rough handling during travel. Highly recommended!

After having recently retired two Judo-gi style dogi jackets from ripping due to wear and tear, I was very excited to finally be able to try this one for size. I was not disappointed. It is, hands-down, the best-fitting dogi top I\'ve ever owned.
It not only conforms to a woman\'s form wonderfully (at least it did for me), but the Coolmax lining really does help wick moisture away from your skin (I just wish it were on the back and front panels as well; which is where I perspire more than where they\'ve placed it on the inside upper back of the jacket).
Not surprisingly, the fabric is like canvas when new and practically could stand on its own (even after what must be almost half a dozen washings by now)...it\'ll take some time to break in perfectly, but compared to the positive aspects, that\'s nothing.
\"Modesty ties\" on both the inside and side keep everything in place (it\'s nice not to have to tuck everything back in after a vigorous breakfall session and after continuous ryokata/shoulder grabs) so that I can spend less time straightening up in-between practice and more time actually getting your reps in.
Highly recommended for the female aikidoka who wants to get a lot of \"bang\" for her buck.
