25th Anniversary Summer Camp in Canmore, Alberta, Canada
Posted 8/01/2005 1:43pm [from Andrew Barron]

Once again another summer camp has come and gone. This yearís seminar had an added significance as it was also Calgary Aikikaiís 25th anniversary. Congratulations to Inaba Sensei for his leadership and instruction at Calgary Aikikai. For a quarter century Inaba Sensei has been teaching the principles of aikido in Calgary and the surrounding area and we have all benefitted. Thank you to visiting Senseis Kubo Sensei and Igarashi Sensei and Inaba Sensei for the spectacular seminar that they taught in Canmore. Everybody took something away from each of the sessions as the instruction, as always, was thoughtful, provoking and dynamic. A big thanks to all the participants who came from near and far to celebrate our milestone with us and to train in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. We look forward to seeing everybody on the mat in the years to come. A special thanks to our friends from Hawaii, Nebraska and Ohio who made the trip to enjoy the great seminar, friendship, weather and scenery. For those of you who were unable to attend there are links to photos from the seminar on our website at www.calgaryaikikai.com Please join us to practice if you visit Calgary, and if you can, visit next summer for another great time in the Rockies.
