Book/Video: "Tomiki Aikido" from Aikido Journal
Posted 1/08/2001 2:28pm [from Jun Akiyama]

Aikido Journal has just re-released "Tomiki Aikido" from 1989 which features Kenji Tomiki sensei, Hideo Ohba sensei, and Tetsuro Nariyama sensei. Stan Pranin writes, "This videotape features actual color technical footage of Tomiki Sensei with his successor Hideo Ohba Sensei as his uke. There are also many scenes from the 1989 International Tomiki Aikido Tournament held in Japan including the semi-final and final matches. The 50 minute film concludes with a dynamic demonstration by Tetsuro Nariyama Sensei, one of the top teachers of Tomiki Aikido. This is an excellent program that will let veryone decide for themselves on the merits of introducing competition to aikido." Anyone care to write a review of this video?
