Posted 4/11/2006 4:02pm [from Christopher Li]

Alan Nagahisa and The Aikido Ohana are happy to invite all Aikido students to join in two days of training with Takeshi Yamashima, 7th dan Aikikai on Friday, May 19th: 6:30pm~8:00pm and Sunday, May 21st: 8:00am~9:30am. Please bring a dish and join us for a pot-luck dinner after training on Friday. If you cannot bring a dish we will be accepting $10 donations to cover the cost of food and drink. There will be no mat fee for these classes. All students of Aikido, regardless of style or affiliation, are welcome. Takeshi Yamashima was a long-time student of Seigo Yamaguchi and was often assigned to attend O-Sensei during the last years of his life. He instructs at the Chiyoda-ku Aikikai, Minami Tanaka Dojo, and the Nerima Aikido Rengokai Dojo, and can usually be found at Aikikai Hombu morning practice. He is also licensed in Yagyu Shinkage Ryu. A group of his students will be accompanying him from Japan. A copy of the invitation letter in PDF format is available here.
