Seminar/Event: Aikikai Malaysia 30th Anniversary Seminar

Aikikai Malaysia is going to hold its 30th Anniversary in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kuching, Sarawak on 21st-25th September, with blessings of Ueshiba Moriteru Doshu and Mrs. Ueshiba Kyoko. They will be accompanied by three Shidoin from Hombu Dojo. Seminars will be held in Kuching (Sarawak), Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia. Long time friends from neighboring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia and faraway UK, NHK Aikido Club and members from Hombu Dojo will participate. Also in conjunction with the 30th Anniversary we have moved from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur. The core of Aikido in Malaysia will be Aikikai Malaysia HQ Dojo based in Kuala Lumpur, supervised under Yamada Jun Shihan. Aikikai Malaysia HQ Dojo in Hartamas will act as Aikikai Malaysia HQ and will be opened in conjunction with the 30th Aikikai Malaysia Anniversary. Aikikai Malaysia has settled to hold the opening ceremony in the traditional Japanese way. Opening of Aikikai Malaysia HQ Dojo will be witnessed by Ueshiba Moriteru Doshu and our honorary Chairperson Tun Dr. Abdul Ghafar Baba on 24th September 2001. It is regretted that because of overwhelming participation, further participation for this seminar has closed.

Seminar/Event: Saito Sensei Seminar Update

Saito sensei will be unable to attend and teach at the seminar in Rohnert Park, California this weekend, September 21st through 23rd. The event has been changed to an international Aikido Friendship seminar with Witt sensei, Moriyama sensei, Phong sensei, Alexander sensei, Totoian sensei, Goto sensei, Newens sensei, Tom sensei, Hendricks sensei, and Baumgartner sensei teaching.
