Seminar: Yoko Okamoto Shihan Manila Seminar (Sept. 10-11, 2011)
Posted 7/07/2011 8:31pm [from rommel miel]

Okamoto shihan started Aikido at Aikikai Hombu Dojo in 1977 with the late Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba, then continued in France (1979-1981) with Christian Tissier. Upon returning to Japan, she continued training with shihans in Hombu Dojo, following mainly the late Seigo Yamaguchi shihan, and Ichiro Shibata shihan. She trained in Hombu for over a dozen years. Upon leaving, she established two dojos, Portland Aikikai in Portland, Oregon, in 1991 and Aikido Kyoto in 2003. Okamoto is one of the most senior female instructors in the world and has taught at many international seminars. The seminar is organized by Aikido Philippines, Filipino Federation of Aikido and Philippine Aikido Propagation Association.
