Article: "Psychology of Self Care: Aikido as a tool for reflection"
Posted 11/30/2009 3:15pm [from Jun Akiyama]

This blog entitled "Psychology of Self Care: Aikido as a tool for reflection" provides us with Susan Harrow's thoughts on how aikido provides her with a way for self-reflection. From the article: "One Nage (the thrower or attacker) in particular is rough and strong. A few weeks ago he cracked every bone in my hand doing Nikyo. [...] Of course my first instinct is to resist when he pulls me too hard, but I know intellectually that I can be hurt more easily, but my body tries to protect me."
