Colonel Miles was belted at the Chicago Jujitsu Institute in 1938. His was taught toward the end of his stay by Masato Tamura. Taking his jujitsu to WWII, he survived the invasion of Okinawa and Sugaloaf Hill. He ended his career as military Liaison to Chang Kai Shek.
