I see colored belts. In a way I like the concept, but I also like the concept of white belts for all kyu ranks. I don't know the last time I was so exactly 50-50 on something, as I have been with this since I began.

That Photo was taken at a Akikai Dojo in Beijing that I taught at for a few months prior to the olympics in 2008. The uke (Jeremy) is a brown belt as for the other color belts, I am not sure of the Kyu system for colors in Beijing. My organization Wadokai, no kyu is white,5th kyu is blue, 4th and 3rd are purple, 2nd and 1st kyu are brown.
