May- 12- 04
Thank you to Isoyama shihan for his extended hospitality in offering his time, his car and vast knowledge of Iwama history. He generously
drove Takeda Satoshi sensei, Bruce Scott and myself to several significant points of interest related to the
daily footsteps of O Sensei. Isoyama Sensei is truely one of the great masters and I am honoured and I
feel very fortunate and privaliged to have met this man. Thanks to Isoyama Sensei for the opportunity to
visit Iwama and be touched by the spirit of the Aiki- Shrine and Iwama dojo. Thank you to Takeda
Satoshi sensei and Takeda Yoshinobu shihan for the kind act of friendship for arranging through the Doshu, this wonderfully inspiring day
trip to visit Iwama, this important referance point in our Aikido history. May -9- 05 The initial 2004
Fudoshin dojo meeting with Isoyama shihan, opened the pathway for more members of the Aikido
Network, A.K.I. collaboration to visit. The invitation for future visits to Iwama is recieved with great thanks and appreciation to Isoyama shihan from all in the Aikido Kenkyukai International collaboration and A.K.I Australia members who made this 2005 visit a very memorable one.
