Bill Gleason is a noted author and founder of Shobu Aikido.

He is the author of "Aikido and Words of Power: The Sacred Sounds of the Kototama" and "The Spiritual Foundations of Aikido", which has been translated into four languages. Gleason Shihan also has produced training videos.

Gleason Shihan studied in Japan for 10 years with Yamaguchi Seigo Shihan and at Humbu Dojo. While in Japan, he also studied swordmanship, music, and religion.
