I don't know if I'm using tanren in the correct context, but here goes:
After reading up the review by William on a video to make a tanren stand (i.e. a stand to repeatedly cut with the bokken), I was wondering if anyone knows other excercises Ueshiba did to improve his aikido. I've seen him doing what looks like extending against a tree. What else did he do?
(I'm not an Ueshiba worshipper, I would just like to see what other excercises may be useful for body conditioning).
