Long Beach, CA and area
Hello,
I'll be in Long Beach, CA for a meeting (convention center area) early next year and was curious about dojos in the area and not too distant commuting sphere. Found two in the dojo search, but as I'm not too familiar with the area, figured there would be others close by not listed as "Long Beach". Thanks much.
Cheers,
Jack

Just down the road in Westminster is Tenshinkai Aikido under Sensei Dang Thong Phong. Excellent Aikikai school.

Re: Long Beach, CA and area
Yoshinkan Aikido's oldest dojo in N.America is in North Long. 3311 Artesia Blvd off the 91 Freeway and Downey Ave. From downtown LB in the later evening, should take you about 30 minutes or so.
I realize it's not the same organization, but hey, why travel so far for the same ole thing?

Steven, thanks. Actually I'm fond of crossing "federation" lines as long as it's acceptable to those I'm visiting. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Jack,
There is also the Cal State University Long Beach Seidokan Aikido Club. You can get directions and contact info from their WEBSITE
Wadahara Sensei is a great teacher. He really likes to focus on ki development in his classes so if that's something you're interested in you could check 'em out.

Thanks Bronson. I saw the listing for the club, but didn't know if you had to associated with the university. Another great option, thanks!
