Top 10 SignsYou Haven't Done Enough Aiki
Hello again gang!
For the last weeks we have been discussing (among other things) how we have done too much Aikido. But sometimes, it's the other way around. We definitely need to do more, much more Aikido. Perhaps you've noticed that your ukemi for speeding cars isn't perfect, or that you still have problems with breakfalls from a 2nd floor. So, here's another idea for a Top 10 list:
Top 10 Signs You Haven't Done Enough Aikido:
10.- After 10 years practice, you still don't understand the dokas of the day...
9.- You've been training for 15 years, and you still need uke to "attack" properly.
8.- Those d@mned speeding fists!
7.- You get pummeled at every randori session.
Ok gang, keep'em coming!

Re: Top 10 SignsYou Haven't Done Enough Aiki
first off, I'll probably never understand the dokas of the day.
6. Even after all those years, you still constantly blend with the mat...
5. Sensei gives you "the look" every five minutes
4. You still hold your bokken backwards and upside down...
I know...very bad, but i tried, mmkay?

Re: Top 10 SignsYou Haven't Done Enough Aiki
A) You still go to work almost every day
B) Sometimes when you go on vacation you don't bring your dogi (or you wife `kindly` unpacks it for you before you leave)
C) You eat your meals away from the dojo
Okay...best I could do on short notice. But I just got to work after training...so...

Re: Top 10 SignsYou Haven't Done Enough Aiki
- your belt still comes untied after 5 mins of strenuous doing nothing
- the pub can still win out over a Friday "fun" session
- a is still for apple, not aikido
- you still think hakama were invented to make simple techniques difficult
- you still laugh at the "sheer agony" joke

After ten years your teacher says, "Well, that wasn't too terrible; maybe there's hope for you yet."

You still sometimes:
1. step out of the line of (THWACK!) attack TOO LATE.
2. fumble the grips when uke's arm is too big
3. have two left feet when dancing (aikido is supposed to help me dance better)

And, for some inexplicable reason, you have the same inscription on your jo - AND you still don't know why you're confused.......
