Hello

Hello All,

I just wanted to stop in and say hi, this is a very nice community. Been lurking here awhile just checking out stuff on and off, and getting to know aikido. Actually, I've been interested in aikido since about 5 years ago but at that time I was having issues with my parents not trusting that the location of the dojo is safe enough for a teenager, especially if I have to walk alone at night to go to the dojo.

Now that I'm a bit older and have car (yay!) I can go and be an aikidoka! yay! I think I'm fortunate enough that the dojo where I'm getting instruction is where the late Sensei George Simcox was the Chief Instructor before his death. Now if I just joined a few years earlier, maybe I would have the privelage to have a class with him

Anyway, I definitely know that Aikido is for me (maybe additional MA, later on), to learn and pass on it's true meaning on is one of my purpose to be alive.

Re: Hello

Hi Aldrich,

Welcome to AikiWeb and thank you for your introduction. Simcox sensei was a great man and a wonderful teacher; I miss him.
