Hi folks,

I just wanted to explain a little bit one of the newest features of this site: Private Messaging.

Private Messaging is a way that people can send messages to you through the Forums without it being in a Forum. It's kind of like sending e-mail to each other with the Forums as an interface.

If you want to use Private Messaging, you'll want to login to your account and turn on the "Enable Private Messaging?" option in your User Options. Without this option set, you won't be able to receive any Private Messages. When you set this option, others will see an icon which looks like in the headers of your post which will allow them to easily send a private message to you through it.

Then, visit your Private Message Inbox which you can get to either through your User Control Panel or at the bottom of the Forum listings on the main Forums page.

In any rate, I've heard a lot of positive comments from people who have used the Private Messaging feature elsewhere so I hope it'll be useful for you!

So, have people found the private messaging feature to be useful here?
