Re: Aiki Expo 05 Los Angeles

Hi Stanley,

Thanks for the reminder for the upcoming Aiki Expo!

Folks, the Aiki Expo is a unique opportunity to experience and interact with instructors and students from many different, diverse approaches to aikido and other martial arts. My congratulations and admiration goes out to Stanley, his staff, and especially the instructors for getting together for such a wonderful event.

I'm personally looking forward to training again with the people teaching and also experiencing new instructors whom I have not experienced before. I encourage everyone who is able to attend to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of aikido by participating in the Aiki Expo.

Who here will be at the Aiki Expo 2005?

The mat layout of the gymnasium has been released:

Layout: http://www.aikidojournal.com/expo/Expo_gym_layout.pdf

You can now match the schedule with the above layout to see which mat each instructor will be using.

Re: Aiki Expo 05 Los Angeles

9 of us from Tenzan Aikido are going down with Bruce Bookman sensei. We are so excited we can hardly breathe! The hardest part will be deciding which classes to miss due to limited time.

I look forward to matching some faces to the names I see on the web all the time.

only one beer?
Nooooooooooo, I'll not go
.................on the other hand, it looks there is almost twenty hundred teachers Do you think that number of students will surpass the number of instructors?
but still think seriously to go finally to USAF wintercamp, must be close to you? Somewhere in Florida? I heard that average age of aikido students in Florida is 65? Can it be true?

ps. what kind of beer you want to buy?

It's true, only one would be stingy for all the years of guffaws. Must be my Scottish blood.

If not, I hope Stanley is charging a bundle for the commercial displays...

Right down the street; walking distance on a cool day. It's a date.

No, that's the speed limit. Average age is around 70. At seminars we have water, Gatorade, and Geritol for liquid refreshment; apples, oranges and prunes for snacks; HAKAMA, DOGI and Depends for training wear.

Ambers, ales, reds are to my taste, how about you?

So... who IS going?

.

I no longer participate in or read the discussion forums here on AikiWeb due to the unfair and uneven treatment of people by the owner/administrator.

It was great to see you Lynn,

I got home late on Sunday night. I slept till Noon on Memorial Day. Got up long enough to have some lunch then crashed again and slept till five pm. This Expo gave "burning the candle at both ends" new meaning. But I wouldn't have missed a minute of it... There's no other experience like it for an Aikido student.

Sincere thanks to Stan Pranin. No one else in the world could have put something like this together.
