Opinion on Karl Geis

I'm new to Aikido and have been studying at TAMUCC but the pace of the school club is slow. Karl Geis has a Dojo in Corpus Christi which is instructed by Rainard Jackson. I just wanted some well educated opinions on these men and their organization.

Re: Opinion on Karl Geis

Mr. Jackson has taught Martial arts for many years in Corpus Christi and generally has a good reputation although a few people I know who learned Aikido from him were less than satisfied. I think that he is a pretty busy man so It may have something to do with how much time he actually dedicated to aikido.
In the past, the club out at the University has been under Gilbert Fuentes, then Patrick Loucheran and last I heard, Dr.Rick Richard. Dr. Richard has been doing aikido for a long time and is a nice gentleman. As John said, there is Joel Molina's dojo at Sunrise mall as well. It's just a matter of finding what fits you. At Aikido By the Bay, they practice two days a week but I heard they were going to a 3rd day soon. I know that Hiroshi Kato, 8th dan will be in Corpus Christi at Joel Molina's dojo on June 11 and 12.
Best wishes,

Re: Opinion on Karl Geis

Just a quick correction. My friend out at the University is Dr. Rick Ricard. Sorry, I misspelled his last name
He was always a friend and a great person to be around but our aikido paths went different ways and he stayed in USAF while we went with Kato Sensei.
