El cheap-o hakama
probably sounds weird but if anyone knows where i can buy a dirt cheap hakama i'd really appreciate if you could tell me.

I believe Kiyota sells one for about $35. You might find one less expensive elsewhere. Kiyota's contact info used to be in the Supplier's section on this site.

E-bogu has a COTTON HAKAMA for $32.
For another $15 you can get a TETRON HAKAMA . Since I'm not into ironing my hakama I prefer the Tetron...much less maintenance needed.
