Why is the forums RSS feed empty, is it disabled or what?

Re: RSS feeds

Seems to be working for me... Any luck or trouble for others?

The RSS feeds for this site may be found on the left side of each page or directly here:

Re: RSS feeds

It is working great for me. I have been using it for a few months and have had no problems.

Re: RSS feeds

Hi everyone,

I'm testing out a new RSS feed for the forums. If you have the chance, please test it out and let me know if you run into any problems (or not):

http://www.aikiweb.com/rss2/forums.rdf

The above URL will most likely change in the future after testing is over...

Thanks!

Interesting! I hope they understand that the "rss2" URL posted above will, as I wrote, be changing soon.

Re: RSS feeds

Jun,
Take a look at my website. Is the seminar feed different from the news feed? Am I still getting what I'm supposed to be receiving?

Re: RSS feeds

Hi Jorge,

What you have on your site looks correct to me. I just added a few more seminars a minute ago, though, which I don't see on your site yet (eg Yasuno sensei in Belgium). I'm guessing your site polls my RSS feed every so often?

You can always see the current RSS feed(s) here:

http://www.aikiweb.com/rss

Most browsers should be able to show you the contents of the RSS feeds there.

Re: RSS feeds

I guess my question related to the fact I used to get a news feed and a seminar feed. Now I only get the news feed. Is that what's supposed to be happening or did I loose my link to the news feed somehow?

Re: RSS feeds

Hi Jorge,

That would be something on your end of things. You should make sure that your site is configured to poll both the seminar and news feeds. The URLs to them can be found at the above address...

Re: RSS feeds

Hi everyone,

I went and updated the old Forums RSS file to the new one:

http://www.aikiweb.com/rss/forums.rdf

The one listed above (in the rss2/ directory) is now no longer available.

Thanks,

Re: RSS feeds

Now, I'm getting both feeds again but I didn't do anything. Thanks anyway!

Re: RSS feeds

Hi Jorge and everyone else who uses the AikiWeb RSS feeds,

I just upgraded the RSS feeds so that they handle RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, and ATOM 0.3 formats. You'll find their locations here:

http://www.aikiweb.com/rss/

Re: RSS feeds

PS: I just added RSS feeds to the AikiWeb Journals to help everyone keep current with people's public journal entries. You'll find the RSS feeds, once again, at http://www.aikiweb.com/rss/.

Talking Re: RSS feeds

OK, I just added the Yahoo beta tool-bar for firefox. A little button asked me if I wanted to add "aikiweb forums" to my yahoo. No problems at all. It just added the content, Very sweet.
