Good article. I'll have to dig up the footage, anyone know if Rendezvous with Adventure is available online?
I agree that it would be nice if we left the stories of O'sensei dodging bullets and doing other unlikely feats in the past. I get particularly annoyed when I see instructors recounting these not even with a "so the story goes" but as an absolute statement of fact, when they have no way of knowing that to be the case other than the same hearsay we all have. It undermines our credibility in everything else we do.
