Hi Karl,

Thanks for the compliments!

It was an "Aikido Summit" that brought together some local aikido teachers in the area to share their aikido with folks -- a rather wonderful event, if I can say so myself. The teachers at the event were Don Rojas sensei (Rocky Mountain Ki Society), Kei Izawa sensei (Aikido Tanshinjuku, USAF), Roderick O'Conner sensei (Aikido of Aspen, under Tom Crum sensei), Seiji Tanaka sensei (Tomiki), and Hiroshi Ikeda sensei (Boulder Aikikai, ASU).

I hope there'll be more seminars like this in the future and I hope that more people around the world will hold this kind of aikido community building event.

Hi Jun;

Keep us informed about the Tanaka interview. I for one really hope that comes through.

For some background Seiji Tanaka sensie wrote an article on the Dawn of Tomiki Aikido which can be found on the JAA(USA) home page.

Wow, sounds like a great event. I would really like to see more of that sort of thing.

An interview with Tanaka would no doubt be very informative as well as a heck of a lot of fun to do. I've been mulling over the idea myself for the JAA newsletter, but life keeps getting in the way. ;^}
