aikido and systema links and history

1. lots of people have recently commented on various forums about the common links between systema and aikido. Can people here tell me what they have in common and where they differ?

2. Systema history - it is not clear whether systema really comes from the Russian special forces to me. If it really does how come no one else teaches it but 2 men. Can someone provide independant proof of the origins of this martial art please

regards

Peter

There is a "discussion" going on under the "Open Discussion" forum which somehow covers a little of your questions...
