Re: Miyamoto Musashi's duel reenactment
Although the book wasnt a completely true account of Musashi's life, i believe the duels he had were of some pretty high standards - remembering he took on the house of Yoshioka as well as various reputable clans of that time, and ofcos, the famous Sasaki Kojiro. One thing the book didnt mention was of his services when he joined the troops of Ieyasu after the fight with Kojiro. You should really pick a copy up if u havent, a couple of my friends (including the girls) got really hooked on it.. haha
Btw, the Niten Ichiryu of Musashi is still being used in Kendo these days, but ive heard from some people that its not really a favoured style. Can any of the kendo folks confirm this?
