Screen/Active Threads-question for Jun

Jun:

When using the forums set up on the active threads on the right it works fine with the current active threads. However, when I go out and look at a thread and then go back to the main page the active thread list changes to an older active thread list. To get back to the current active thread list I have to exit entirely and then reopen the site. If I want to visit several of the active threads it becomes time consuming having to exit each time.

Also, when viewing the pictures in the forums section the forward backward arrows do not work.

Re: Screen/Active Threads-question for Jun

Hi John,

I'm not too sure what you mean by "active thread" and "active thread list." Can you clarify with the location of the "list" and exactly what steps you're taking so I can try to reproduce the problem?

Also, are you talking about the ">" and ">>" type arrows in the [url="http://www.aikiweb.com/gallery"]gallery[/url secion of this site? If so, they're not clickable, but the thumbnails about them should be clickable.

Thanks for the feedback,

-- Jun

Re: Screen/Active Threads-question for Jun

Hi Jun:

Sorry I wasn't clear. Here is the process I use.

1. I enter the aikiweb site. The "home page" has 3 columns. In the far right column is the Active Forum Threads. This appears to be the current active threads.
2. I then go to any of the threads that show up in the 3rd column.
3. Then I go back to the main page and the Active Forum Threads column is different. It is always the same one but not the original one. So to find the original active threads I have to totally exit the aikiweb and come back to it. I have done this several times and it does the exact same thing. It did not used to do that but would come back to the list of active threads that were current.

Hope that's more clear.

Hey Sensei Riggs... for the active thread list thing your seeing a cached version of the site if you click the refresh button it should bring up the current site. I do not know what's causing this (it happened a while back.) but atleast click the refresh will save you from have to close your browser and start all over.

Seems to be working normally now. Don't know what was done but it had been acting like that for several days.

Re: Screen/Active Threads-question for Jun

I have the same problem (and it's still happening). Refreshing the page does work, but it's still annoying. I am using IE 6.0 and have my Temporary Internet Files Settings configured to Check for New Versions on Every Visit.

I've noticed it only happens when I hit my back button to go back to the main Aikiweb home page. If I click on the Aikiweb graphic in the upper left to go back, it works fine.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the reports. I'll take a look into the cache settings and such for the site...
