New to the forum
As I'm new to the forum, I better introduce myself. My names Richard Chapman and have only recently started the long winding road into the life of Aikido since October.
As a kid I did Chinese MA's that I did for a couple of years but my main interests were in football/soccer. Now that I'm married with two young boys in tow, I've decided to give the football/soccer up, as I was getting to the stage where I was getting dispondant with the team etc.
This prompted me into deciding to re-start my MA's activity, but the question was which one shall I study. I'm not an aggressive sort of person and always seem to avoid trouble, plus after several years of football/soccer my hamstrings are very tight so the high kicking MA's were a no-no. This is how I decided on Aikido, and I think I have made a good choice.
I study Kia Shin Kai Aikido in Crawley, England but only train once a week as this is the only time the class is. I am thinking of attending another class local to me but is a different Aikido society.
Hope to join in with you guys/girls in future discussions. Cheers.
