Thumbs down Shodan test:

Greetings,

I just wanted to let you folks know that my Shodan test is this next weekend. Many folks have already offered encouragement and advice. Any last thoughts would be welcomed. I'll try and post some pictures afterwards.

If your Sensei has put you up for testing, they already know you know it. Review hard. The just relax, breath, and enjoy yourself.

If you haven't already read it, you might enjoy reading Jun's reflections on his own shodan test:

Haven't been there yet - my shodan is still at least a couple of years into the future, but I believe one thing is REALLY important: Remember to have fun

Cool I made it!

I did my demonstration for Shodan yesterday. I had a few little bobbles but all in all everything went just fine. I was able to make a video which was nice to review later that day and will be something I'll enjoy in the future. Much to my suprise, I actually looked pretty good in the video. I'll post some pics as soon as the film is back. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and encouragement.

Thanks, Jun. As our head sensei (rokodan) said, now I'm ready to start learning Aikido.
