Dick Stroud Sensei Passes Away

Posted 2015-06-06 08:32:06 by Jun Akiyama
News URL: http://https://stuff.mit.edu/afs/ath...ido/index.html

I have received word that Dick Stroud (6th dan, MIT Aikido Club) passed away this weekend in his sleep while in Japan.

Stroud celebrated his 80th birthday and his 40+ years in aikido in 2013 after having taught at the MIT Aikido Club for over 30 years. He was a student of the late Mitsunari Kanai sensei.

My condolences go out to his family, friends, students, and loved ones.
