4 question interview with Ron Ragusa, Sensei, Founder of Berkshire Hills Aikido and reluctant interviewee.
1. How old were you when you started aikido? Deep inhale…Not sure…I was either…I think I was 29 or could be 28.
2. What does rank mean to you? (And what rank are you?) Well, I guess when you have rank conferred upon you it is a measure of your progress. I enjoy giving rank out. I don’t have a rank and I am fine with that.
3. How do you feel about wearing a hakama? I enjoy it…it goes with the activity.
4. What do you say when people ask you about aikido and then start telling you about how they took taekwondo in 6th grade? I chuckle…and then just listen to what they have to say and nod.
