Talking Hi there!

Hello fellow Aikidoka,

My name is Tim, I've been practicing Aikido for the last 6 1/2 years.
I practice Takemusu style (sometimes known as Iwama style) affiliated with Aikiki.
Currently just a lowly Shodan
I train in Sydney Australia, my dojo is: Aikido Australia - Takemusu Aiki association city dojo
under Saburo Takayasu Sensei 7th Dan Shihan

Happy to chat with fellow aikido practitioners.

Re: Hi there!

Hi Tim, Ben from Adelaide, have trained in Aikido for six months or so after moving across from Krav Maga. Love Aikido and love how popular it appears to be in Australia. Welcome to the forum!

Re: Hi there!

Hi Tim, welcome, its good to see fellow Aussies here
Yes Aikido is popular in Aus, funny though its the most popular art nobody else has ever heard of!
I trained Iwama/Takemusu with Micheal Field Sensei in Melbourne for a number of years in the early 90s, and enjoyed it a lot.
