I've read many threads here about ukemi, which I consider the heart of any MA (just my opinion). Most have concerned 'uke's' roll--haha--while some understand that uke and nage are no different.
When I am 'nage' I try to keep this union in mind no matter what uke does. I studied Tai Chi Chuan years ago and one thing my sifu quoted during push hands stuck with me:
"A fly alighting upon your hand should never be able to completely land and a fly leaving your hand should never be able to completely escape, if that is your intention."
Anyone else practice with this in mind..?
