It finally happened after years of dedication and a growing appreciation of the art and not just "our" style (Tomiki) that I achieved the rank of Shodan. It is quite overwhelming and I am grateful of my Sensei's teaching. I have a long road ahead of me and I am sure class will be different on Tuesday. I enjoy reading posts on these threads and wanted to share my experience with all of you.
