Aikido Demo

I was thinking that this video would be just another demo of the type we have all seen and even taken part in over the years. I was wrong. This is a great demonstration and very creative.

I can't say I've ever enjoyed a demo so much.

Re: Aikido Demo

Funnily enough I was watching that very demo on youtube the other day but filmed by someone else at the other side of the floor!

Cool!

Re: Aikido Demo

I especially liked that when nage's technique wasn't spot on, uke took him down, demo or no. We should see more of that.

Re: Aikido Demo

If you like a little razzmatazz in your demos, you might like this judo demo, too.

Re: Aikido Demo

It's a great clip, isn't it? As impressive as it is, there use to be a (Google video?) clip of two gents doing the same 'bullet time' to Nage-waza-ura no kata. I think that red lines my 'holy crap, how did they do that' odometre.

Re: Aikido Demo

Thanks for posting this video, Dave. It has a touch of the creativeness of a kung fu movie. Now, here's an answer to all these folks who claim aikido doesn't cannot deal with people armed with a camera
